Completing the $2.5 billion redevelopment of Century Plaza in downtown Los Angeles, the new Park Elm residential towers are now open for occupancy.
The 44-story buildings, which together house 268 units, are designed to complement Minoru Yamasaki’s original iconic twin office towers and hotel. At ground level, the project includes a new sequence of carefully crafted public spaces, including a loggia-like central gathering place and landscaped public square with pavilions, boulevards, retail shops, dining, and gardens. Century Plaza’s many sustainable features will earn LEED certifications for both Neighborhood Development and design and construction of the residential towers.
